The last lecture for the class of 2008

As graduation approaches, members of the Class of 2008 are celebrating and lamenting all kinds of lasts - the last class, the last exam, and the last meal in the Garden Room. This year's senior class will also be the FIRST class to hear a LAST LECTURE delivered to them as a group at the Senior Celebration during Senior Week.

Voting made difficult

So I went to vote in the democratic primary today, to do my diplomatic duty as an involved and concerned citizen, and I was delighted to discover that the voting booths are now digital. This was my first time voting in Pennsylvania. In my home state of Connecticut, voting is performed in a manual booth.

88 minutes too long

88 Minutes rivals 10,000 B.C. and The Heartbreak Kid as being the worst movie I've reviewed for The Weekly…and it comes away with the trophy. It's no surprise that it has been lingering on Columbia's shelves for more than a year (it came out on DVD in Germany early in 2007).

Women's Lacrosse makes history

Women's Lacrosse seems to have no trouble breaking records this season. In their game against York on Thurs., Apr. 17, the ladies won their 11th game of the season, breaking the previous school record. However, the game was not only about team records; individual records were reset as well.
