A crowded room, a cluttered hall.
Their eyes will meet.
Their hands will fall.
Their voices low.
Their whispers slight.
However will they dance tonight?
For she is weak, and he is blind.
She cannot keep him from her mind.
He scans the room and thinks out loud,
"And who is hiding in this crowd?"
Her back is turned, she feels him near.
She cannot look, she cannot hear.
Instead he pulls her from behind,
She cant think fast, her arms unwind-
Now face to face and eye to eye,
She leans in close, he heaves a sigh.
The music plays, the couples dance.
The room is filled with great romance.
A valiant man, a simple girl
He draws her in with every twirl.
With every step and every turn,
Her heart will skip. His eyes will burn.
The music stops-her hands, her own.
For he is gone, she stands alone.
A crowded room, a cluttered hall.
A man and girl have lost it all.
