It seems the Mules like to keep their crowd on their toes during home games. At their first home game in over twenty days, the Mules played McDaniel College in overtime, for a whole 110 minutes with a 0-0 draw outcome: the same result as their last home game.

The Mules dominated the game, out-shooting McDaniel 20-5. They had multiple chances to score: one attempt came from Junior James Henshaw in the 30th minute of play when his shot hit the left post.

The next close call came with less than 35 seconds left in the second overtime when Freshman Wesley Deininger rocketed a shot to the upper corner of the net, but because of a great save by the McDaniel goalie, it was tapped just above the goal.

Junior Adam Milberg attempted a shot off the rebound of Deininger's shot, but this shot was also saved.

Freshman defender Jonathan Kliewer commented about his teams play, "It was very frustrating because we played good defense, but we just couldn't get the ball in the net, and you can't win games if you don't score goals."

Kliewer, frustrated by the Mule's perfromance, said, "Overall, we dominated the game, but it was frustrating playing 110 minutes and not scoring any goals. We definitely should have beaten the team, but hopefully this will get us ready to win our next game against Swarthmore."

A total of three yellow cards were awarded during the game when the Mules frustrations were taken out on both several players as well as on the referee.

Senior goalie Chris Davis made three saves this game and earned his 22nd career shutout.

The Mules have played a total of four conference games; they fell to Johns Hopkins University and Franklin and Marshall College, beat Washington and tied McDaniel College, making their next Centennial Conference game vital to their standing in the Centennial Conference and the playoffs.

The Mules' next game is at Swarthmore on on Saturday.
