Nov. 2 has come and gone, and honestly, it has not come fast enough. You see, unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months, pretty much since the semester began, the entire College has been abuzzabout one thing: the presidential election.
Country music is about more than melancholy lyrics of Lorrie Morgan and White Stetsons. It's also about the dancing that goes along with it. Everywhere today we see leaders, and we see followers. This is very clear at the College, not necessarily with people following the Student Body President's leadership, but with people following a fashion or a trend.
We, as students, trust the national news media as an information source: a clear lens through which we can see the world. Its purpose is to go where we cannot and give us a clear report of what is going on. The controversy over the reliability and validity of the SAT has been an ongoing one. The introduction of the newest version of the SAT is supposed to create a more accurate assessment of student's abilites, as well as a better predictor of how well students will do academically in a college environment.
The Atlanta Braves: powerful warriors who charge head first into battle. The Carolina Panthers: sleek cats with the ability to pounce in an instant. The Lehigh Hawks: powerful birds of prey that will destroy all that is in their path with their sharp talons.
No college in the nation is more diverse than our own Muhlenberg College. Where else can you see so many different brands of designer clothing? Is there another college in America where you can see more shades of dyed or bleached hair? Can anyone name another institution where cultural diversity relates directly to what part of New Jersey you're from or whether you call a deli order a hoagie, sub or hero? I doubt you can because the College is the most diverse school in all the land.
