Mules fall by close margin

The MulesĀ  held the lead for most of the game, getting as much as nine points ahead of the Bullets. After Stewart sunk a free throw, the Mules were up by one point with 1:48 to play in the game, but sixteen seconds later the Bullets made a go-ahead basket.

The Mules had two possessions in the last minute and a half, but they could not manage a basket. The Bullets then scored again off the inbounds. The Mules took the ball back when they were down by three points with 27 seconds to go.

The Mules had a three-pointer attempt, but the shot did not go in. Then the Gettysburg Bullets pulled in the rebound and ended up on the free throw line. Missing a one-and-one, o'Brien recovered the ball back and made a last second attempt, but the three-pointer fell short just as the clock ran out.

The Mules finished three points shy, giving Gettysburg College another win. This extends the team's losing streak to five games.

There are only four games left this season. The next game is Sat. against Franklin & Marshall College, the Centennial Conference's top-ranked team amd have a 10-3 record in the Centennial Conference. The Mules are tied for seventh in the Centennial Conference.
