On Dec. 16, the Muhlenberg women fought an overtime battle against Susquehanna and won to keep their undefeated start to the season alive. They would remain undefeated for the rest of 2006.

On Jan. 6, the Muhlenberg women, ranked 21st in the nation, returned to action and continued their winning ways, defeating Haverford 76-62. Sophomore Lauren Boyles led the way with 16 points.

The girls took their undefeated record on the road to Conference foe Franklin & Marshall. The Mules were locked up in a tight game, but Muhlenberg ended the game with a 16-5 run to win 75-64. They were led once again by Boyles who scored 25 points. They also received help from junior Abra Like who finished with ten points and seven assists.

The girls had an eleven-game winning streak as they returned home to face McDaniel. Muhlenberg held close early and was only down six at halftime, but had one of their worst second halves in a long while and lost their first game all season to the Green Terror, 70-45. This was the first time that the members of the sophomore class have lost at home and the first home loss in 22 games for the Mules.

The Mules went on the road for the final game over break and faced Johns Hopkins. The Mules bounced back from their disappointing home loss and stuck close to the Blue Jays, who were up four with 3:51 left in the game. The Mules went on a 9-0 run to close out the game and give them a 50-45 win. Coach Ron Rohn couldn't believe that he had just witnessed a game that saw the opposition shoot just under 21% and yet his team still needed to come from behind to grab the victory. The Mules ended break with a 12-1 record and 7-1 conference record.
