The opponent seemed secondary to the Mules as they quickly made this game into a blow-out. The Mules would shoot 47.6 percent in the first half and only allow five Bryn Mawr field goals, obtaining a 20-0 run at one point the first half. It seemed this game was over before it even started.
The Mules would continue to lead into the second half and wrapped the 78-49 blowout to give the team a 12-3 Centennial Conference record. The Mules played fourteen girls and 12 of them scored at least two points and grabbed at least one rebound. Senior Night saw a strong team effort, something the two seniors have exemplified over their four years at Muhlenberg College.
After their decisive victory against Bryn Mawr, the seniors were looking forward to their rematch with McDaniel. The Green Terror had blown the Mules out at home and the Mules were looking for revenge. But their hope to avenge their season's biggest loss was shattered late in the second half as the Green Terror from McDaniel pulled out a tough one down in Westminster, Md.. The Mules went down early but fought valiantly to make it a close game. Courtney led a 10-2 run with eight points as the Mules cut the Green Terror's 10-0 lead to two points. The score would remain close the rest of the first half and McDaniel had a 21-20 lead at the end halftime.
The second half would stay close and saw the Mules down three points, 36-33, with 10:36 remaining. However, the Green Terror would not let the clutch Mules stick around in this game and went on an 11-0 run before the Mules could pull off some more late-game magic. Muhlenberg stopped the run but couldn't find a way to get ahead and ended up losing the game 55-43.
The Mules were once again led by Courtney's 16 points and 12 rebounds and also saw a great game out of Erin McSherry who grabbed a career high 11 rebounds. The Mules will play a game that could have playoff implications for both teams at Ursinus on Saturday in their regular season finale. The 12-4 Centennial Conference record for the Mules puts them currently in third place but only a game ahead of the fourth place teams. Muhlenberg hopes to be able to have another shot at the Green Terror in the Centennial Conference Playoffs and drive toward another NCAA tournament bid.
