In response to the provocative Iranian seizure of 15 British Royal Navy members, one television host compared it to escalation in the Vietnam War, asking members to "Google the Gulf of Tonkin." This person was the daytime TV host, 'Rampage Rosie,' of the ABC show "The View." In characteristic fashion, Rosie O'Donnell strategically bullied her radical opinion onto the show, without room for discussion. However, despite her possible objection, it is actually important to examine and question what she states as impermeable truths.
Again, remaining in character, O'Donnell is bombastically inaccurate in her comparison of the hostage situation to the Gulf of Tonkin incident. While the British remain in control of handling the serious situation diplomatically, the insinuation of an escalation is completely absurd and unrealistic. According to O'Donnell, the capture of the 15 British soldiers by Iran, was enabled, if not staged or fabricated, by the United States or the United Kingdom, for the purpose of expanding the war in Iraq to include Iran. The Gulf of Tonkin incident, an alleged attack on U.S. vessels by the North Vietnamese, was used by President Johnson as a reason to expand the war in Vietnam. O'Donnell's insinuating comparison is insulting to the individuals who are involved in this crisis. Her remarks are inflammatory, unnecessary and unwelcome.
Unfortunately, this type of inaccuracy and radical behavior is not a rare occurrence. Rosie O'Donnell's liberal radicalism permeates television, even when one doesn't tune into her rants on the "The View." Frequently, her far left liberal escapades are broadcast to millions of viewers, not only tuning into the show but also in clips constantly shown on news networks, nightly news programs and late night television. Among other radical statements, O'Donnell has also gone so far as to imply that 9/11 was the fault of Americans and was a grand conspiracy. She was quoted as saying, "Don't fear the terrorists. They're mothers and fathers." Let's flashback to reality where terrorists are those who attacked our nation in 2001, bomb embassies, blow up planes, cars, buses and themselves, despite the fact they may be killing innocent people including children, mothers and fathers. It appears that in her perception, America is the enemy and the terrorist, a long lost friend. There is no question that Rosie O'Donnell is a terrorist sympathizer, and would like to see America loose the War on Terror, at home and abroad.
Among other harmful blather, O'Donnell has expounded on the illegitimacy of the War in Iraqand Afghanistan, bringing into question the tremendous sacrifice that our troops have made in defense of our nation. The outrageous remarks of radical O'Donnell remain un-refuted on her show, despite the nature of "The View," which is to include various opinions, not just one. The only means to stop the broadcasting of pervasive radical ideas are to turn off "The View." Perhaps then the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) would realize that she's hurting business and would boot her from the show. Until the viewers of this program realize the nonsense and ignorance to which they are subjected in the disguise of entertainment, the rest of the world will be subjected to O'Donnell's political grandstanding. Hopefully, this realization will occur, because it's time to end Rosie's TV terror.
