To the Editor:
We, along with the majority of Muhlenberg students, pick up a copy of the Weekly for two principle reasons: the crime reports and the sex column. Its a sad occurence when the crime blotters are more about sex than the actual sex column. As the weeks of the year progress, the sex column more and more resembles the innocence of Disney movies than anything we would have interest in reading after the age of 14. Realize it, we are now in college and based on a statistic we just made up for this letter, 90% of college students do not actually care about categorizing their relationship status. They are content with having ambiguous statuses, and do not feel the need to exclaim this status daily. Furthermore, using out-dated 80's movies for supporting your ideas would be as titillating as us using Schindler's List to argue the increase of a potential orgasm.

If you honestly believe that a person cannot have a friend of the opposite sex, you are missing the beauty of every day communication skills. Although we both imagine the opposite sex naked all the time, it is really out of curiosity and cheap laughs, and not because we want to sleep with them. Again, nothing in the sex column mentions anything remotely dealing with sex. Condoms? - no. Vaginas? - no. Blowjobs? - no. Nothing! Perhaps the author should stop popping in Disney classics everynight and refer to real life encounters for inspiration for the sex column.

Please notice that a woman and man, amid the company of other men and women wrote this letter. No one suddenly screamed out their desire for sex on the Seeger's Couches. We are more interested in keeping good friends. We are however sex driven - which is why we are asking for more sex in the sex column, or the opportunity to write it ourselves.
