The Muhlenberg Women's Rugby Team went into their last game of the regular season undefeated, and they held up their perfect record by beating Lehigh 43-10. Lehigh was also undefeated before their loss to Muhlenberg. Christie Pfeiffer ('10) and Daniella Goodarz ('09) each put two trys on the board for the Mules. Jenny Cohen ('09), Diana Canzoneri ('10) and Hannah Winckelmann ('11) scored the other three trys. Deborah Crockett ('10) put up another eight points by making four of her seven kicks. Hayley Kreiger was also a key player throughout the game. Kreiger made many runs with the ball, gaining yardage for Muhlenberg with each drive.

Freshman Stacey Wallstein was also able to carry the ball on multiple plays, blowing past Lehigh players all the way down the field.

As a result of their hard work, commitment, and team unity, the ruggers are going into the playoffs holding the number one seed. The playoffs are being held November 3rd and 4th at Gettysburg College and will consist of two rounds. If they can win the playoffs, the Muhlenberg Rugby Team will move up a division, and also get a chance to play in the championships in Boston. This is the first time in five years that the Muhlenberg Women's Rugby Team has made it to playoffs, and they hope that through their effort and hard work they can continue to hold their undefeated title.
