Volleyball defeats Ursinus

On Oct. 24, the Mules matched up against Ursinus for their second-to-last home game of the season. The seniors filled their role on the team and led them to a 3-0 victory.
Although the Mules got off to a rough start (14-8 in the first game) the Mules rallied back to claim the first game 30-27. The Mules kept up their streak and won the next two games 30-24 and 22-30 respectively to sweep Ursinus.
Senior Jess Anselmi had 18 kills and sophomore Liz Dean had 10. Anselmi's 18th was her 300th for the season, making her the sixth player at Muhlenberg to reach that total.
Senior Megan Young had a match high 19 digs. This put her at 1,300 digs in her career. She is the third volleyball player at Muhlenberg to accomplish this.
On Sat., Oct. 27 the Muhlenberg Volleyball Team prepared for the match against Gettysburg as well as their Senior Game. The match on Saturday was the last game of the season. However, the game did not go well for the Mules, who lost to Gettysburg 30-26, 30-13, 30-25.
The two seniors on the team, Young and Ansemi, both played hard to finish their careers. Anselmi had a career total of 747 kills, putting her in eighth place for the most kills in a career at Muhlenberg.
Young had 31 digs against the Bullets. She finished with 1,342 career digs, putting her in second place on the all-time list. Young is also the only player in the history of Muhlenberg to have 500-dig seasons.
