In the first half, sophomore Ryan Foster went five for six from the field scoring 13 points and sending the Mules into the second half with the lead, 37-25.
The game looked shaky for the Mules with 10 minuets to go in the game as Washington began to chip away at the lead. With only three minuets left to play, Washington closed the point deficit to three at the free-throw line.
The Mules, however, were determined to win this Centennial Conference game and after sophomore Obi Nwizubo scored two free throws, junior Mike Bernardini had a three- point play and the Mules quickly regained an eight-point lead. In the last minute of the game, Bernardini went five for six, leading the Mules to their win over Washington.
Ryan Foster finished the game with 18 points, going 7 for 9. Bernardini added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Nwizugbo had a game high 13 rebounds and 10 points. Chris MacIntosh had eight points and 5 assists while sophomore Pete Barnes had a career-high 10 points.
