Sophomore Alex Faust opened the Track and Field season in record-breaking style two weeks ago. Last week at the Muhlenberg Invitational, though, she topped herself once again. Beating her previous best by two inches, Faust cleared a height of 11 feet, 9 inches in the pole vault, resetting the school and Centennial Conference record that also held her name. Faust competed and won the 400 meters as well.

A total of seven teams gathered at the 'Berg for the meet, which turned out to be the largest home indoor meet ever at the College. Joining Faust in first-place finishes were sophomore Debra Crockett in the shot put, junior Stuart Udis who won and set the record for the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.28, and sophomore Patrick Thornton who joined Udis on the 4X1600-meter relay to break another school record. Freshman Abby Simons, senior Dan Steinhart, and sophomore Jeremiah Lachaud also had notable first-place finishes.
