Britney Spears Update:
Early Thursday morning, Britney Spears was taken to UCLA to be hospitalized once again. Spears' psychiatrist was at her house, and was concerned about Spears' growing erratic behavior and that Spears had not slept for days.
Spears was taken to the hospital under a 5150, as ordered by a judge. She was initially committed for seventy-two hours, but this has now been changed to fourteen days.
Despite many thinking that this hospitalization was spur of the moment, it was actually very well orchestrated, to avoid the chaos of the earlier January hospitalization.
Not only was the hospitalization heavily orchestrated, but the police also referred to Spears as "the package" while referring to her over their radios.
It has been reported that Spears was actually very calm when told that she was going to the hospital. Apparently, she even made herself a cup of hot chocolate while waiting for the ambulance, obviously a stark contrast to her last hospitalization.
Shortly after being taken to the hospital, a dispute broke out between Spears' manager/friend Sam Lufti, and Spears' parents, even leading to Lufti verbally attacking the Spears parents to the media.
Following this, Spears' parents went to court and got a restraining order against Lufti. Britney's father also went to court to receive power over Spears' estate while she is hospitalized and therefore unable to manage it.
Recently, there have been rumors that Spears is angry that her father has power over her estate, and sent her lawyers to get the power back. In addition to all of this, Spears' attorney went to court for yet another custody hearing, but it was postponed until later in the month. Amidst all of this chaos, it has been reported that Spears is worth an estimated forty million dollars.
Current Events:
Eva Mendes is currently in rehab. This announcement shocked many when released this past week. Mendes, who has never been widely known for her partying ways, had jokingly admitted to drinking before filming sex scenes.
