This week, drama continued to unfold in the Spears camp. Recently hit with a restraining order, it has now been exposed that former friend and manager, Osama Lufti, had asked Spears for money, though denies ever taking any. It has been exposed to the court by Jamie Spears' attorney that Lufti asked Spears' business manager, Howard Grossman, for money.
Attorney Jeryll Cohen said, "During the telephone conversation, Mr. Grossman [Brit's business manager] told me that he had numerous e-mails from Osama (Sam) Lutfi in which Mr. Lutfi made various demands, including demands for money. Mr. Grossman told me he did not comply with Mr. Lutfi's demands." Spears continues to be escorted around by a new bodyguard that was hired by her father recently.

Last month, rumors began circulating that actor Ryan Reynolds and actress Scarlet Johansson were engaged. Johansson's rep immediately denied the engagement. Despite this denial, rumors have sparked again, due to the fact that Johansson and her mother were seen shopping for wedding dresses at Monique Lhuillier in Los Angeles. A source stated that they "stayed awhile."
The writer's strike appears to be finally over. It has been announced that the three month strike cost the economy two billion dollars. Due to the end of the strike, which will be finalized Wednesday, the Oscars will take place as usual.
Michelle Williams was seen returning to work in New York City, following the death of her ex-fiance and father of their child, Heath Ledger.
The actress just arrived in New York following the burial of Ledger in Australia. Ledger was laid to rest this past week in his hometown of Perth. There was a small service, concluding with his close family and friends running into the ocean at sunset, believing it to be what he would have wanted.
The celebrity-frequented Hawley Arms Pub in London was part of a horrible fire in the famous Camden market. The pub where Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse were known to frequent is a pop culture landmark, and one of the many famous landmarks that was part of this fire.
