In a doubleheader loss against Moravian, the Mules Softball Team lost the games, but found their swing. The Mules dropped the games by scores of 7-5 and 4-3, but their offense was impressive. In the first game, freshman Ashley Brewer had five RBIs and three doubles, and classmate Jess Kasza hit her first career home run in the fourth inning.
Moravian is a tough team with a record of 19-5, but the Mules were able to keep up with them in both games. In game number two, the Mules made it interesting at the end of the game, scoring three runs. In the second game, junior RiRi Ferrigno and sophomore Allie Saltstein each had two hits, and junior Samantha Crist had two singles and crossed the plate twice in the first game.
Continuing their tough stretch, the Mules faced the Haverford Fords and put another tally in the loss column. Caught in a 10-game losing streak, the Mules lost in their home doubleheader by scores of 8-0 and 3-0. Saltstein hit two of the Mules' eight total singles.
The Softball Team plays tonight against Messiah in a road game at 3:30 p.m., and again against McDaniel on Sat. at 1:00 p.m.
