People have been having sex forever. This is a fact. It's been done fast, it's been done slow, it's been done sideways, backwards, upside down. By now we're sure you've noticed that we like to categorize anything that has to do with sex. So here's three more for you:

Making love, having sex, and fu--let's call it ducking. If you have experienced one, two, or all three of these you know there's a difference. Yes, the term "making love" makes us want to vomit, but it does exist and it can actually be meaningful if love is a factor. So, let's start with that one.

Making love is usually done between two significant others. You actually are in love and if it gets emotional enough, tears can be shed. You whisper, "I love you" in each others' ears and stop occasionally to stare longingly into each others' eyes. Things are all sweet and mushy and gushy, and you actually do feel like this person cares about you and wants to be with you. This is usually done in a bed in missionary position.

Making love can't be kinky, it's soft and slow. This is why if you have just met a guy and are about to sleep with him for the first time, you know it's b.s. if he tells you he wants to make love. He just wants to get easy access into your pants and thinks that's what all girls want to hear.

People assume that making love entails a huge romantic gesture: rose petals, soft jazz and dimly lit candles. But really, it's about the emotional connection between two people. There is no rushing into making love; any foreplay consists of a light touch. It's not so much about getting each other off than it is to show that you love and respect every inch of the other person.

Having sex is probably the most typical form of intercourse. Different positions are welcome but it's not in a frenzy. It's a steady pace; sex is because you're turned on. This can be done with someone that you're in a relationship with, or someone that you just consistently hook up with. Not a duck buddy, a sex buddy.
