After a historic season last year, the Muhlenberg Football Team is excited for the season to start this Sat. against the Wilkes Colonels. Last season, the Mules compiled a record of 11-1 including the first ever undefeated regular season and outright Centennial Conference title in school history.
Coming into this season the Muhlenberg Volleyball Team had not beaten rival Moravian in eight years. The Mules (3-1) opened this season at the Greyhound Premier Invitational at Moravian. The Mules opened the Tournament on a sour note by losing to the eventual champion, Richard Stockton College.
This season, the Cross Country Team is looking very young, but very promising. With a total of 10 freshmen and 17 sophomores, the team is excited about their potential not only for this season, but for the seasons to come. This year, the Men's Cross Country Team received one vote in the national Division III poll.
This weekend was the start to the college football season and, like every year, there were big upsets. The day started with two upsets, when East Carolina beat #17 Virginia Tech 27-22, and Bowling Green shocked #25 Pittsburgh 27-17. The game of the weekend was #24 Alabama against #9 Clemson in the Georgia Dome.
