Kissing involves lips and tongue, but does it involve teeth? The tricky subject of whether or not teeth should be part of being intimate is something rarely talked about. But using teeth is also very complex, and there are an array of ways to use your teeth; either for bad or for good. One thing that might influence whether or not it's enjoyable is how intensely teeth are used. First there is the nibble, which includes just enough pressure that the person can feel it. Nibbling usually involves just the front couple teeth and alternating between areas. Nibbling, for the most part, is a safe bet and something a lot of people enjoy.
Then, there is the bite. The bite is usually concentrated in one spot, where pressure has amounted to a little bit of pain. More than just a few teeth can be used when biting, although not the whole mouth. Some people like a good bite, and some people don't. Biting should not leave any marks, though, which differentiates it from the most intense type of using your teeth.
When the teeth really sink in to the skin and leave a mark, it's evolved into a chomp. Chomping might involve your entire mouth, molars and everything. This hurts, too. Most people are not fans of this, but sometimes it's exactly what someone wants. Before you take a big chomp out of your partner's neck, it would probably be wise to ask.
In addition to the different intensities of using teeth, there are also many different spots where people commonly like to be at least nibbled on. Lips and ears are probably the most common places that your partner's teeth might end up, but they aren't the only places. Necks and shoulders have also been known to be attacked by teeth.
These are some of the more well-known areas to use teeth on, but that doesn't mean that everywhere else isn't fair game. Each person likes different things, so don't be afraid to try things out with your partner. But if you don't know what their preferences are and don't want to ask, it might help to know what the majority thinks.
When some friends and neighbors were asked what they thought about using teeth, they repeated the same two responses. Either "Hell no!" or "YES!" Nobody was indifferent to it.
Two people said they didn't like teeth at all. No nibbling, no biting, absolutely no chomping, and not on ears, lips, necks, or anything. They were completely against it and didn't like it at all. If you're into using your shiny white enamels, though, there is good news. That was only two people out of twelve.
Yes, believe it or not, everyone else polled thought that tooth action was pleasurable. One girl said, "I think everyone secretly likes it, they're just too afraid to admit it."
Nibbling was accepted by everyone who liked teeth in the equation, there are very few people who don't like being nibbled on a little bit. Don't be afraid to use your teeth lightly.
Biting was something a bit more controversial, some people were all for it and some drew the line right before it.
And now on the subject of chomping, there are people who love it. Most people didn't, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't ever be done. But to be safe, it's always good to ask first. Chomping shouldn't be lightly regarded - it hurts!
Why do people like using teeth at all? Well, there seem to be two possible reasons. Either they like the sensual feeling of it, or they like "the roughness of it."
The ears, neck, and lip are where most people enjoy the sensual effects of biting. Nibbling achieves sensuality best, where biting can sometimes cross the line.
The other reason is the roughness. When someone likes the edge of putting a little teeth into it, that means that a good bite is not off limits. People who like chomping like it because it can make someone feel dominated over.
If you're not sure if you should take the plunge, the best policy is to ask. Your partner will be impressed that you wanted to know their opinion first. And then sink your teeth in to a good time.
To bite or not to bite?
